THE GONZAGA CONSORT

The Gonzaga Consort is a young vibrant group of singers, recently to emerge on the choral scene. The six singers all presently study, or have recently graduated from the Royal College of Music, London, and between them have performed or currently perform with The Sixteen, Polyphony, The Tenebrae Choir, Voces Cantabiles, The National Youth Choir of Great Britain, The King's Consort, The Cardinal's Musick, Voces8, Ex Cathedra and all were founder members of the Royal College of Music Bach Choir. The group perform a varied programme of choral favourites, partsongs, madrigals and close harmony, and specialise in early music by composers such as Tallis, Monteverdi, Byrd, Gibbons and Marenzio, to name but a few. Delivered in a relaxed, yet sophisticated manner, The Gonzaga Consort have everything an audience wishes in a calm and enjoyable night out. The group benefits not only from the quality of musicianship but also from a strong bond of friendship between the singers. The Gonzaga Consort has performed in some impressive venues within the last 12 months, including The National Gallery, Lincoln's Inn Chapel, Ham House and St Mary Abbot's Church, Kensington.
